RIVERTON – Roland S. Luddington, 92, Valley View Villa, Riverton, formerly of New Glasgow, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Harbour, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late G. Tupper and Catherine (Lowe) Luddington.
Prior to retirement, Roland was employed with the former McGregor Bedding and Standard Clay.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, E. Frances (Ross), Valley View Villa, Riverton; son, Sterling “Stu”, New Harbour; step-son, John (Alma) Ross, Woodstock, N.B.; grandchildren: Jeff, Taiwan; Timothy (Morgan), Truro; Callee, Halifax; great-grandchildren, Mya and John, Truro; sisters: Evelyn Willett, Aileen Wilson and Jean (Watson) Sangster, New Glasgow; Ina Burke, Halifax; Irma (Alex) Sangster, New Glasgow; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors 1 – 1:50 p.m. Sunday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Ryan King officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, New Harbour.
