GIONET, GEORGE - Mr. George Gionet passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October 23, 2013. Born on September 24, 1941 in Saint John NB, a son of the late Michael and Laura (Gaudet) Gionet. George was a retired Corps de Commissioner for Ridgewood, Port and Uptown, also he was an Orderly for Centracare. He played pool at the Golden Mile Billiards. Most of all George loved his grandchildren and was a great Grampy. George is survived by his wife Judy Gionet; two sons Christopher Gionet and Ronald (Amanda) Gionet both of Saint John; daughter Lynn (Edwin) Gionet-Lemieux of Victoria Island B.C.; brother Reginald (Pam) Gionet of Saint John; sister Margie Mackie of Saint John; three grandchildren Angel Wilson, Chelsea Wilson and Helaina Craft all of Saint John; as well as several nieces and nephews.
To honor George’s wishes there will be no visitation, cremation will take place and a Memorial service will be held on Monday October 28, 2013 1pm at Castle “Fallsview” Chapel. Donations to the S.J.R.H Palliative Care Unit or the charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
