Pauline was a daughter of the late Ambrose and Armour Higgs.
Besides her grandchildren, she is also survived by sisters Olive Tetford, Corinne Urquhart, Gloria (Melrose) Wilson; brother-in-law James Murchison, all of Sydney; and sister-in-law Barbara Foster, Ontario; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband Jim, daughter Carole and son Alan, Pauline was predeceased by her sister Frances Reeves; sister-in-law Anna Murchison; brothers-in-law Charles Tetford, John Reeves, Kenneth Urquhart, all of Sydney, and Ron Foster and Bill Mutch, Ontario.
A loving wife and mother and bookkeeper for Cape Breton County Library, Pauline was a very capable homemaker who, with Jim, were gracious hosts to many special occasions celebrated at their Coxheath home.
