(Former Mayor of Glenwood) Passed peacefully away on Thursday, March 13, 2008 in St. John's, Samuel Steele, age 92 years. Predeceased by his wife Jessie (2000). Left with fond and loving memories two daughters: Janice (Rick) Hopkins, Merlee (Wayne) Rodway; four grandsons: Corey, Daryl (Didi), Christopher and Nicholas; sisters-in-law Beatrice Steele, Marjorie Richards, Elsie Chaytor (Bill), Mary Sheppard (Noah), Lillias Laite (Jack), Audrey Stoyles (Wilson), Phyllis Clench; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at First United Church, Glenwood from 4-9 p.m. on Friday, March 14. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. from First United Church.
