At the Dr. John Gillis Memorial Lodge in Eldon on Saturday, September 27, 2008, of Irene Alberta Beaton (nee White) of Stratford and formerly of Murray Harbour, age 83 years. Beloved wife of Malcolm Beaton and the late Gordon Duffy. Loving mother of William “Billy” (Lynnette) Duffy, Murray River; James Duffy (Marsha Carroll), Charlottetown; and Donald Duffy, Murray Harbour. Dear grandmother of five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers Darryl (Carol), Keith (Clara), Simon (Edith), Byron and Seton. Predeceased by brothers and sisters Fred, Melvin, Russell, Sadie and Sybil. Resting at Ferguson’s Montague Funeral Home from where the service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment in the Belle River Cemetery. Visitation Monday 7-9 p.m. only.
