Murray Nelson Peterson - 68, of Chipman Brook, Kings County, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of the late Donald and Jeanette (Peck) Peterson. He had been employed as a machine operator for Larsen's in Berwick. An avid outdoorsman, Murray loved the woods, deer hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed cattle, chickens, gardening and watching U.F.C and wrestling. Family was very important to Murray and his grandchildren were precious to him. He is survived by his wife, the former Esther Johnstone; three sons, Nelson (Peggy), Chipman Brook; Donnie (Leanna), Waterville; Cory (Lacey), Berwick; a sister, Wanda Peterson, Coldbrook; four brothers, Lloyd (Jeanette), Dale and Bruce, all of Cambridge; Brian, New Brunswick; five grandchildren, Branden and Ashley Cotter, Janelle Peterson and Makayla and James Dunham. He was predeceased by a sister, Marie Peterson; a brother, Freddy Peterson. The late Murray Nelson Peterson was resting in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where visitation was held from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013. A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2013 in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County, Reverend Doctor Judith Saunders officiating. A reception followed in the Lakeville Community Hall. Family flowers only, by request.
