COOK, IRENE - Irene Agnes Cook of Moncton and formally of Miramichi, passed away on November 4th, 2013 at the George Dumont Hospital, at the age of 75 years. Born in Rogersville, she was the daughter of the late Frank Arsenault and Freda Chevarie. She worked at Mount Saint Joseph nursing home for many years which she enjoyed very much. She had a unique relationship with all her children and grandchildren that will leave some long lasting memories for all. Irene is survived by eight children. Laura (Robert) of Riverview, Elkin (Diana) of Miramichi, Mary Lourdes (Howie) of Miramichi, Karen (Tony) of Miramichi, Maureen (Brian) of Fredericton, Stanley (Karen) of Moncton, Frank of Dieppe, and Gary (Marsha) of Miramichi. She has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she loved very much. She was predeceased by her daughter Barbara, granddaughter Jessie, and brothers Jean-Paul and Eric Arsenault.
Irene’s funeral arrangements are in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Miramichi. Mass will be celebrated on November 6th, 11 am at St. Michaels Basilica with Father John Fraser officiating. Active Pallbearers are Daniel Cook, Cory Ross, Jamie Guimond, Brandon Guimond, Dennis Berry, and Joey Cook. Any expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction on Maher’s funeral home, Miramichi.
