It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cornelius "Con" Alexander announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the age of 80 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Gertrude, 1 son, Cornelius Jr. of Fort McMurray, Alberta, 2 daughters: Clara (Jim) Miner of Surrey, British Columbia, Lana Alexander (Edward Smith) of Stephenville, his mother, Genevieve Alexander at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing, 5 brothers: Everett (Daisy), Herman (Linda), Gordon (Bonnie Wanhala), Kevin (Sandy), all of Stephenville Crossing, Jerry (Judy) of Collingwood, Ontario, 2 sisters: Florence Bennett and Sandra (Noel) Dunphy, both of Stephenville Crossing, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Joseph. Cremation has taken place and friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Sunday, November 10th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, November 11th at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Parish, Stephenville Crossing with Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brook Street, Stephenville Crossing.
