Mrs. Hilda Tierney (nee Taylor) passed away on October 27, 2013 at the age of 94 years.
Predeceased by her husband Bill, parents Ted and Hilda Taylor, and her brothers Ted, Bob and Jack.
She is survived by her son Chuck and daughter Eileen (Gerry) Palmer; four grandchildren, Katherine Tierney, Dave Palmer, Barb Palmer and Lori Jaremowich; and two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew Jaremowich.
Hilda was born October 3, 1919 in Calgary. The family moved to Salmon Arm, and then to Vancouver. She graduated from John Oliver High School. During the war she travelled to Ottawa and worked in the Civil Service, where she met her husband, Bill. They retired on the Sunshine Coast in 1979.
