LLOYD FREDRICK BAILEY

Lloyd Fredrick Bailey passed away October 24, 2013 after a short illness. He was 93.
Lloyd and Joyce (Johnson) were married for 69 years. They met in England during the Second World War when Lloyd was stationed at the RCAF base near Darlington in the north of England. Lloyd always said meeting Joyce was the best thing that ever happened to him. After the war, Joyce joined Lloyd in Montreal where he was employed as a Credit Manager for a major steel company. The family spent many delightful summers at their cottage in upper New York State. Lloyd and Joyce moved to Kamloops in 1984 to be near their children and grandchildren.
Lloyd is survived by Joyce; their two children Karen Sweetzir and Garth Bailey; grandchildren Ross, Paul and Adam Sweetzir; Janine Judge; Alexander and Matthew Bailey; and great-grandchildren Quinn, Colin and Natalie Sweetzir and Holly and Errol Judge.
A memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Kamloops on Saturday, November 16, at two o’clock.
