Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family and friends at St Clare’s Mercy Hospital on November 7, 2013. Jean Smith, age 74 years. Predeceased by parents: Harry and Florence; brothers: Harry, Fred and Eddie; sister, Ivy. Leaving to mourn are daughters: Betty (Paul) and Jeannie (Jack); sons: Cyril (Karen) and Ron (Pamela); sister Betty; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, as well as extended family and friends – including special friend Mary, and special friends in Hawkes Bay, St. Clare Manor and Christine’s. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at General Protestant Cemetery.
