It is with great sadness that the family of the late ALICE WHIFFEN of Rushoon announces her passing at her home in Rushoon on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at the age of 61. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: Husband - Robert of 35 years; Daughters – Vanessa Farewell (Colin) of Red Harbour, Lacey Lake (Shamus) of South East Bight & Danielle Whiffen (Fred Snelgrove) of St. John’s; 4 Grandchildren – Jenna & Abigail Farewell and Chloe & Kiera Lake; Brothers, Sisters and their families; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by: Son – Shawn; Parents – Daniel & Frances Murphy; Sister – Alice and Brothers – Joe & Benedict.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place on Saturday, November 9, at 1:00 p.m., from Christ the King Church. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Rushoon. In lieu of flowers donations in Alice’s memory may be made to the Whiffen Family.
