Sheila Rose Gloade
GLOADE, Sheila Rose – 52, Millbrook First Nation, passed away peacefully, with family at her side, on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born January 2, 1961, in Truro, she was a daughter of the late William “Bill” and Mary (Marr) Gehue. Sheila was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Millbrook, and worked for many years at St. Mary’s Elementary School as a Native Student Advisor. Sheila is survived by her husband, John Charles “Jack”; children, Robert Gloade, Chris Gloade (Asha Brooks), Kyle Gloade, at home; John Russell (Kara) Gloade, Fort McMurray, Alberta; like-sons, Keith and Kelly; grandchildren, Bryson, Xavier, Cienna; sisters, Joyce Gehue, Coldbrook; Florence Gehue, Indian Brook; Theresa (Lawrence) Socobasin, Indian Brook; Marjorie Copage (Murray), Cambridge; Wanda Francis, Indian Brook; Joanne Julien, Indian Brook; Anne-Mary Fear (Yvan), Winnipeg; sisters-in-law, Melissa Gehue, Bonnie Googoo, Indian Brook; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Jessica in infancy; brothers, David Gehue, Dwayne Maloney; brothers-in-law, Louis Julian, Richard Sack, Michael A. Francis. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Sheila’s family will receive friends from 2-4, 6-8 p.m., today, November 15, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Church Road, Millbrook. Salité will follow at Millbrook Community Hall.
