CURRIE, JOYCE MARIE - Joyce Marie Currie, 81, of Woodstock, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Carleton Manor, Woodstock, NB. Joyce was born in Bloomfield, NB on June 22, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Donald and Helen (Reid) Stokoe. Joyce is survived by her husband of 62 years, Edwin Currie, and her children Brent Currie (Michelle), of Calgary, AB; Brenda Corey (Neil) of Fredericton, NB; Lynnette Keswick (Allan), of Plattsburgh, NY, grandchildren Mitchell Currie (Elizabeth), Sean Currie, of Edmonton, AB; Scott Corey, St., John, NB; Simon Corey, of Norman Wells, NWT; Kyle Keswick, Dalen Keswick, Plattsburgh, NY, one great granddaughter, Mila Elizabeth Currie. Joyce was a willing volunteer at many church and community projects. Her favorite hobbies were tole painting and quilting. She was also a very gifted seamstress. Joyce was a dedicated church member. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her six grandsons. The family would like to extend many thanks to the staff at Carleton Manor who gave her such great care.
Visitation at the Culberson Funeral Home, Woodstock, NB on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services for Joyce Currie will be on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from Woodstock Wesleyan Church. Rev. Dale MacDonald officiating. Interment to follow at the Woodstock Rural Cemetery. Suggested donations in Memory of Joyce is the Woodstock Wesleyan Church Building Fund or the donors choice.
