The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, of Sister Celestina McKearney, CSM, “Sister Mary Damien”, of Mount St. Mary's, age 95 years. Daughter of the late Terrence and Mary Ellen (McCarthy) McKearney. She was predeceased by brothers and sister, Lawrence, Walter, Benjamin, Oliver, Ella Stuart, Terrance and Stephen. She was also predeceased by half brothers and sister, William, Arthur, Jack and Margaret. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral mass Saturday with service from Mount St. Mary’s Chapel at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the Congregation Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.islandowned.ca.
