Peacefully, at the P.E.I. Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home, on Friday, November 22, 2013, of Mrs. Joan M. McGaugh (nee Howlett) of Charlottetown, age 84 years.
Beloved wife of the late Martin McGaugh and dear mother of Donna (Brian) Waddell of Charlottetown, Jean (Bill) Doherty of Charlottetown and Fabian McGaugh of Halifax, N.S. She is also survived by five loving grandchildren, Jamie and Michael Waddell and Jeff, Robbie and Haley Doherty. She is also survived by her brother, Kevin Howlett and brother-in-law, Fr. Floyd McGaugh. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Kathleen McCloskey, Jim Howlett, Finley Howlett, Billie Howlett, Annie MacDonald and Nellie Howlett.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Tuesday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
Visiting hours on Monday 4-8 p.m.
The Holy Redeemer CWL will hold a prayer service at the funeral home on Monday evening at 8 p.m.
