David Brooks Hatfield Raynard, 95 of Willow Avenue, New Glasgow, passed away November 26, 2013 at home.
Born in Tuskat Falls, Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late Watson and Annie (Gavel) Raynard.
David was a resident of New Glasgow for the past 19 years. David was a retired employee of Nova Scotia Power where he had worked for a number of years.
He served with the RCAF during WWII having been stationed in England.
He is survived by his children: Thomas, Tuskat Falls; Grace (Alex) Fraser, Tuskat Falls; David (Marilyn), Trenton; Ron (Carol Heighton), New Glasgow; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife the former Dorothy (Fry), a brother Thomas and a sister Frances.
Cremation to take place. There will be no services at the request of the family. A private family committal service will be held in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Gavelton, NS at a later date.
