FITZSIMMONS, ROBERT "BOB" T. - Robert “Bob” T. Fitzsimmons, 75, of Hebert, with his loving family at his side, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, November 30, 2013. Born in Canaan Station, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary (Sherwood) Fitzsimmons. Bob was a retired mechanic with Auto Haulaway Inc., with over 32 years service and was a member of Bynon Memorial Baptist Church. An avid camper, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and spending time with his family and friends. Robert will be sadly missed by his loving wife of over 50 years, June (Greer) Fitzsimmons; daughter, Catherine Niles of Adamsville; son, Robert Wade Fitzsimmons (Sue) of Ontario; precious grandchildren, Charmaine, Daniel and Morgan; sisters, Georgina Zirpolo (Fran), Edna Zirpolo (late Bob), Audrey Steeves (late Bill), Peggy Gaudet (Omer); brothers, Alvin Fitzsimmons (Margaret), Darrell Fitzsimmons (Patti), Micheal Fitzsimmons (Rose Marie); several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Willard (Helen), Stephen (Rose) and Gary (Carol).
Visitation at Bynon Memorial Baptist Church, 5033 Route 126, Canaan Station, on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service at Bynon Memorial Baptist Church on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 3:00 pm, Rev. Dale Thistle officiating. Reception in the Church Fellowship Hall following the service. Interment, Lone Pine Cemetery, Canaan Station, NB at a later date. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at The Moncton Hospital (Oncology Unit), Bob’s angels from Kent Extra Mural and to family and friends for the support given to us during Bob’s illness.
