
Jean Anne Cameron-Loi
CAMERON-LOI, JEAN ANNE - Jean Anne Cameron-Loi passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital (Fredericton, NB) on December 1, 2013 at the age of 50 after a year-long battle with cancer. Jean Anne is predeceased by her father, John Allan Cameron of Sussex, NB. Jean Anne is survived by her loving husband, David, of 26 years; sons, Peter and Jonathan; mother, Wannona (Pryor); brother, Ewen (Angela); niece and nephew, Cedelia and Jack. Born July 18, 1963 in Minto, NB, she later lived in Centreville before moving to Fredericton where her dad taught at UNB. In 1977, the family moved to Sussex. She graduated from Sussex Regional High School in 1982 then continued her education at UNB and settled in Fredericton after marriage. She operated a family-based day care from 1995 until October of 2012. She was most proud of her volunteer work of 12 years with Scouts Canada establishing the program at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. On November 2, 2013 she was presented with the Award of Fortitude by the Lieutenant-Governor Graydon Nicholas at Scouts Canada’s annual NB Award ceremony at the Legislature Assembly Building. Jean Anne enjoyed playing with her dog Max, reading, doing needle-pointing, travelling the world, and spending time at the cottage on Parlee Beach.
Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 512 Charlotte Street, Fredericton on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 10:00 am with Rev. Doug E. Blaikie officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm at the Williamstown Cemetery, Williamstown, NB. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Society of Canada, Canadian Cancer Society, 5th Fredericton Scouting Group, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
