RICHARD, LEO - Leo Richard of Moncton passed away at The Moncton Hospital on November 30th, 2013 at the age of 90. Retired from NBCC College after over 25 years of service. Born in Rogersville, NB, he was the son of the late Prospere and Marianne (Arsenault) Richard. Leo is survived by his loving wife Eva, of 37 years, step daughters; Celia (Guy) LeBlanc, Nicole (Rick) Shanks, step son, Michel Lanteigne, step grand children; Josette, Pierre, Steven, Ryan and four great step grandchildren. Leo is also survived by his sisters; Louina (Vincent) Caissie, Elda, brother, Ernest (Anita) Richard and his many nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents Leo was predeceased by his brother Willie, sisters; Bella (George) Savoie and Yvonne (Philias) LeBlanc.
In keeping with Leo’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix RC Church, 87 Murphy Ave. on Wednesday, December 4th, 2013 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations in Leo’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s or Friends of The Moncton Hospital. A special thank you to the nurses and staff of 3600, at The Moncton Hospital for the special care that was given to Leo while he was there.
