David MacDonald
David passed away peacefully with his family at his side at Niagara Health Center on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at the age of 74.
David, beloved husband of Marilyn (Keon) for 48 years. Loving father of Kirk (Elizabeth), Kim (Christian), Greg (Tara). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Keonna, Breagh, Archie, Emily, Lauren, Liam and Fletcher. Predeceased by his grandson, Jack, his parents, Colin and Alice, and his sister-in-law, Velma.
He is survived by his siblings, Colin (Kay), Ron (Carol), Elaine (Kevin), Patricia (David), Brenda (David), Karen (Ken), Kevin and Kelly.
David was a principal with Lincoln County Catholic School Board retiring in 1995.
Visitation will be held at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and on Wednesday, Dec. 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon, Dec. 5 at 1 p.m. at the Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 34 Elgin St., St. Catharines. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wellspring Niagara or St. Vincent de Paul Society.
