It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harold Janes announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Monday, December 9, 2013 at the age of 69 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves to mourn: Michael (Cindy) Janes in Clarenville, NL; Alban (Brenda) Janes in Bowden, AB; Ronnie Janes in St. John’s, NL and Matthew Janes in Red Deer, AB. Also leaving to mourn are his grandchildren: Alyssa, Logan, Gavin and his sisters: Greta (Willis) Bath of Loonbay and Barbara Cluney of Boswarlos; brother-in-law, Ron Sims; sister-in-law, Anne Sims. Also leaving behind his best buddy "Skipper" and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Judy Janes and his parents, Chesley and Daisy Janes. Visitation will take place on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville. Funeral service will take place at the First United Church, St. Clare Avenue, Stephenville, on Friday, December 13th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kathryn Vance officiating. Cremation will follow and interment will take place at a later date. Donations can be made to the S.P.C.A in Harold’s memory.
