Allan J. T. A. Thain (75) passed away peacefully at home in Logan Lake, B.C. on December 3, 2013.

Allan will be missed by many, especially his loving wife Kathleen (Kat) Thain and his children and their partners, Scott (Lindsay) Thain of Calgary, AB and Eilidh (Rob) Thain of Regina, SK. Allan had many close extended family that will also feel his loss including Edie Dibley, Jan Scott-Kirk, all the Dibley's in New Zealand, nephews and nieces and their partners from his departed sisters Evelyn Adams and Barbara Thain and many Calgary close family to Kat and Allan.

Allan lived a full life and was an active member in Rotary International, Lions Club and A.A. Closest to his heart was his work in the Arts, especially the theatre. Allan was well known recently for his theatre work in Langley, B.C. He had a long successful career in radio, television, public relations, advertising and government. Allan retired in 2000, from C-FAX Radio in Victoria, B.C. and had received numerous awards for his work in theatre and writing as an advertising and communications specialist.

Allan has been a strong volunteer over the years participating in the Senior Games, Special Olympics, United Way, YMCA and was on several boards of volunteer groups such as the Victoria Crimes Stoppers and Langley Lodge.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., at the "Church on the Hill", 237 Jasper Ave., Logan Lake, B.C.

In lieu of flowers, Allan would love if you made a donation to the Wellness, Health and Youth (WHY) Centre in Logan Lake or the Bard in the Valley, Langley, B.C. or your local community theatre programs.
