GALLANT, JUNE W. - June W. Gallant of French Village, devoted wife of the late Frank Gallant passed away at home surrounded by her family on December 17th, 2013. Born September of 1935 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Prince Edward Ingersoll and Anna Hachey. Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing cards. June is survived by her son Daniel Joseph Gallant (Doreen) of Rothesay; daughters Brenda Marie Gallant (Tom) of Saint John, NB; Catherine Campbell (Ken) of Alberta, Tammy Gallant of Alberta and Susan Underhill-Bonnell (Dan) of Rothesay; brothers William Ingersoll (Rosily) and Donald Ingersoll both of Saint John; sisters Betty O’Donnell and Shirley McLaughlin both of Saint John; grandchildren Lisa, Julie, Lynn, David, Tammy, Rayna and Billy; great-grandchildren Bobbie, Melony, Noah, Nicholas and Ryan; great-great-grandson Ryan; step-grandchildren Megan Joel and Johnathan; nieces, nephews, friends and faithful canine companion HooDoo. Besides her parents and her husband of over 50 years Frank, June was predeceased by her sister Greta King.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday, December 19th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 20th at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
