KILLAM, JO-ANN - Jo-Ann Wanda Killam, 56, of Portage Vale, passed away on Wednesday, December 18th, 2013 from a 3 year battle with lung cancer. She was born in Moncton, NB on March 5th, 1957, the 3rd child of Donald Shand and Irma Shand-Greene. Jo-Ann graduated from Harrison Trimble High School and married her high school sweetheart, and soul mate, Robin Killam. Jo-Ann, above all, was an amazing wife, mother, and friend; she would always put others first, and go out of her way to help them. She was an avid reader, loved gardening and woodworking. She was survived by husband James Robin Killam of Portage Vale; children Geni Lee Dawn Killam of Riverview, Patricia Rose Killam of Moncton; Siblings Elaine Haley (David) of Riverview, Rodney Shand of Moncton, Judy Shand of Moncton, Sharon Unruh (Jim) of Calgary, Laurie Shand (Jenifer) of Lower Coverdale, Tracey Waterhouse of Fredericton; Mother Miriam Killam Petitcodiac. Jo-Ann requested that, instead of flowers, donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in her honour.
A viewing will not be held at the Funeral Home. A graveside service and burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 28th, 2013, at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
