The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, December 19, 2013, of Susan Mary Butler (nee DesRoche) of Summerside, aged 52 years. Susan was born on March 4, 1961, in Summerside to her mother Thelma (nee Gallant) and her late father, Ernest DesRoche. Beloved wife of Anthony Butler and loving mother of Mark (Geni) DesRoche of Fort McMurray, AB., and Kayla Butler of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her 2 grandchildren Anikyn and Annaliesse and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her brothers and sisters: Edmond of Summerside, Emmett (Pat) of Edmonton, AB., Nancy (Wayne) Matthew, Gary (Ella), Leo (Sandra), Brian (Anne) all of Summerside, Ernest Jr. (Debbie) of Calgary, AB., Phillip (Deanna) and Allan all of Edmonton, AB., and James (Ruby) of Summerside. Besides her father, Susan was predeceased by her brother Paul in infancy. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Monday, Dec. 23, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Susan's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
