Our family wishes to extend our gratitude to Dr. Kahn, Dr. McNeil and nurses at the Glace Bay Hospital. We would like to personally thank Mary Aitkens who provided care and support for Julia during the last five years at home in New Waterford and also Seaview Manor, Glace Bay for the care provided to our mother over the last five months.
There will be no service for Julia as that was her wish. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford.
The family will have a private service at home next summer in our blueberry patch on the hill; the season and place Julia loved most.
In lieu of flowers, please take the time to visit a loved one who is in a nursing home and thank those who care for our elderly loved ones in our community.
