Georgina (Fowler) and Gillian Neville
Georgina passed away peacefully, following a long and courageous battle with cancer, at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus with her loving family by her side on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at the age of 44 years.
Georgina Neville (nee Fowler) of Petawawa, beloved and cherished wife of Shawn Neville. Loved and devoted mother of Christopher and the late Gillian Neville. Dear daughter of Joan Fowler (nee Nearing) of Glace Bay, N.S., and the late David Fowler. Sister of Joe Fowler (Sheila) of Brantford, Ont., Margaret Mitchell (Bob), Viola Bruffatto and David Fowler, all of Glace Bay; and the late John James Fowler. Daughter-in-law of James Neville of River Ryan and Carolyn (Carly) Neville of Glace Bay. Sister-in-law of Charlene Hopkins, Moncton, N.B., and Sherry MacLean (B.J.) of Antigonish, N.S. Georgina will be sadly missed by all her nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
Gillian Neville passed away peacefully, following a sudden medical emergency, at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire du Quebec (Laval Campus) in the arms of her loving father on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at the age of 11 years. Gillian Neville of Petawawa, loved and adored daughter of Shawn Neville and the late Georgina Neville. Loved sister of Christopher Neville. Dear granddaughter of Joan Fowler and the late David Fowler, and Carolyn Neville, all of Glace Bay, and James Neville of River Ryan. Gillian will be sadly missed by all her cousins, aunts and uncles.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Georgina and Gillian with her family during visitation at the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay, on Friday, Dec. 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 28 at 1 p.m. in St. Anne’s Church, Glace Bay, N.S. with interment in the parish cemetery. Fr. Leo Boone officiating.
