YOUNG, CECILIA ROSE – Surrounded by her loving family, Cecilia Rose Young passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, December 23rd, 2013. Born 1928, in Marches Point, NL, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Angelina (Jesso) Campbell. Cecilia was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bingo, knitting, reading and she loved her Newfoundland music. Cecilia will be sadly missed by her sons Hyacinthe (Brenda Smith) of Head of Millstream, Thomas (Roxanne) of Saint John, Nathan (Krista Gould) of Saint John; daughters Lorraine (Bob Powers) of Saint John, Eileen Neil of Saint John; brother Wilfred Campbell of Stephenville, NL; sisters Marguerite Suggs of Stephenville, NL, Ethel Laffette of Fox Island River, NL; grandchildren Tammy, Cheryl, Wilfred, Michael, Laura, Wanda, Meaghan, Jessica, Rebecca; great-grandchildren Rachel and Kendra Roy; as well as nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, Cecilia was predeceased by her husband Maurice, sons Higgy and Leon, son-in-law Gerry Neil and several brothers and sisters.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Saturday, December 28th at 10 a.m. followed by interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cecilia’s memory may be made to Stella Maris Renovation Fund, The New Brunswick Lung Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
