RICHARDSON, WINNIFRED JOYCE - It is with great sadness that the family of Joyce (Smith) Richardson, announces her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 24, 2013. Born in Saint John, NB., she was the daughter of the late Donald and Winnifred (Tracey) Smith and the beloved wife of Floyd Richardson. Joyce worked as a nurse on Neurosurgery at the Saint John Regional Hospital until her retirement in 1998. She was loved dearly by her family and close circle of friends. Along with her husband Floyd, Joyce is survived by her children Kelly (Michael) Laaper of Kingston, NB., Glen (Sherri-Lynn) of Halifax, NS; brother Bill (Yvonne) Smith of Brampton ON; sister-in-law Margaret Smith of Petewawa ON; grandchildren Kaitlyn, Matthew, Meaghan, Vivian, Hilary and Devan and Devan's' father Richard Boudreau, as well as, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Joyce was also predeceased by her precious daughter Tracey Boudreau and her brother Donald Smith.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB., (646-2424) with visiting Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 30, 2013 from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 1pm followed by a reception at the Funeral Home. Committal will be held in the spring in Mount Hope Cemetery, Deer Island, NB. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joyce's memory can be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation or the charity of the donors' choice.
