MEADUS, JOSEPH MICHAEL - Joseph M. Meadus, 48, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2013 at his home in Harvey Station, NB.
Joe was born on June 19, 1965 in Toronto, Ontario. He was a quiet man with a big heart, who loved being around his family and friends. Joe enjoyed the little things in life and always had a special treat tucked away for the children who would visit. He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn; his daughter Sara Gill-Meadus; his parents, Maureen and Fred Meadus; a sister, Christine (Steve) Leney; a special aunt, Sharyn Hemstead; two stepsons, Jayson (Krista) Nestoruk and Ryan (Sara) Nestoruk; four grandchildren, Jack Nestoruk, Andy Nestoruk, Alia Nestoruk and Ethan Nestoruk; a sister-in-law, Debi (Donald) Bourque; two brothers-in-law, Milton (Jana) Caissie, Timothy Caissie; nephews, Shawn (Annalea) Bourque, Cody Leney and Jake Leney; nieces, Cindy Bourque and Keri (Russell) Daigle; cousins, Penne Allen (Don Davisdon) and Sheri Hemstead. Joe had a special place in his heart for animals and will be sadly missed by Rocco, Cinder, Sam, Lily, Smudge and Rusty. Joe was predeceased by a special grandmother, Helen Humphrey; Nanny Mary Meadus and Poppy Llewellyn Meadus.
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 12 noon until the hour of service at 2 p.m. Interment will be held later at Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jayson Nestoruk, Ryan Nestoruk, Jack Nestoruk, Andy Nestoruk, Donald Bourque and Shawn Bourque. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Joe, the family has suggested the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.
