KING, BARBARA - With sadness the family announces the passing of Barbara Loretta King, which occurred on Friday December 27, 2013 at Carleton Kirk Nursing Home. Born 1945 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Annie MacDonald. Barbara was employed with NB Publishing for 27 years retiring in 2004 and was a member of the CWL Stella Maris for 25 years. She is survived by her daughter Dawn King (Brian Crawford) of Saint John; son Dan (Bonnie) King of Chilliwack, BC ; grandchildren Colton, Bradley, Jordan and Maya; brothers Bernie of Saint John and Francis of Winnipeg, MB; sisters Mary and Anne MacDonald both of Saint John; several cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all her family as well as the Group of 7. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Kenneth MacDonald.
Following cremation, visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd (646-2424) on Wednesday January 1, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Stella Maris Catholic Church on Thursday January 2, 2013 at 12 Noon followed by a reception in the church hall.
