It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we the family of Patricia (Patsy) Catherine Hawkins nee (Power) announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Grandmother on December 29, 2013 at the age of 75 at Palliative Care. Predeceased by her husband Clarence Hawkins (1999), parents Jack and Annie Power, infant son Robert, sister Elizabeth Battcock and brother John Power. Leaving to mourn are her children: Mildred (Robert), Junior (Esther), Maureen (Darryl), Randy (Darlene), Darryl (Joan), Wanda (Kevin), Harold (Shannon). Sister: Maureen (Patrick) and brother: Tommy (Ann). Precious grandchildren: Kevin (Shavonne), Kyle, Stephanie (Geroge), Shane (Johanna), Roddy (Margie) Patrick, Ashlyn, Courtney, Leah, Emma and Erica. Great grandchildren: Dustin, Mason, Matthew, Brianna, Suzanna and Addison. Sister in-law Lavena Daley and brother in-law Philip Hawkins. Special friends: Dorothy Battcock, Catherine Hawkins, Dorothy Hawkins, Nellie Hayes, Ann Nelson, Debbie Mullowney and Mary Mullowney. One special granddaughter who has been at her side: Stephanie Paul. The care takers and friends at Alderwood Estates Retirement home in Witless Bay, where she spent the last three years and enjoyed the many outings, the meals and the dances. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Tuesday, December 31st from 2 - 9 pm and on Wednesday, January 1st from 2 - 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, January 2 at 11 am from Immaculate Conception R. C. Church, Cape Broyle. In Patsy's memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Foundation or a charity of one's choice. "She lived for those she loved and those she loved remember."
