Georgina Matilda Claffey of Moose Jaw, SK passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at the age of 87 years. Predeceased by her husband Elroy, and sisters Edna (Ken) Melby and Mary (Henry) Trenouth. Remembered by her brother Fred (Sandra) Howells; her children Vivian Meyer (Glen Hiebert) of Saskatoon, Erwin of Edmonton, Bill (Bev) of Weyburn, Harold (Nancy) and Dave (Robin) of Moose Jaw; her grandchildren Tammy Meyer, Chris (Christine), Lorne and Ryan Claffey; her great-granddaughters Anna and Mercedez, and by numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Georgina was born on June 20, 1926 in Neptune, SK. She was a life-long Anglican and a member of St. George’s and later St. Aidan Anglican Church. She was active in church work and with the Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed many activities throughout her life and made friends through all of them. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Aidan Church Renovation Fund, 124 1st Ave NE, Moose Jaw, SK, S6H 0Y8 or to the charity of your choice. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at Parkview Funeral Chapel on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 1:30 pm at St. Aidan Anglican Church, with interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
