The death occurred suddenly in Fort McMurray, Alberta, on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 of Michael Alan Henwood of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 55 years. Beloved son of the late Anita and Earl Henwood.
Left to mourn his loss are his wife, Vicki (nee Ramsay); son, Ryan Henwood; daughters, Sarah Henwood and Melissa MacDonald (Kirk); and his little buddy, Grandson, Ethan MacDonald; his brother, James Henwood (Angela); and numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. Also lovingly remembered by his brothers-in-law, Claude (Sharon), Ken (Vivian); sisters in-law, Peggy Young, Eunice (George) Wall, Helen (Preston) Murphy, Brenda Simmons, Ann Ramsay, Eleanor (Ray) Wakelin, Barb (John) Stewart, Marilyn Olson and Pauline Gallant (Allison). Besides his parents, Mike was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, Amos and Margaret Ramsay.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, where the funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, January 7, at 11 a.m. Interment to take place in People’s Cemetery, Summerside, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mike’s memory to a trust fund for his beloved daughter Sarah would be greatly appreciated.
