MORLEY, Derek John Keaton - age 83, of Falmouth, Hants Co., passed away on the evening of Sunday, December 29, 2013 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born on August 28, 1930 in Staffordshire, England he was the son of the late George and Mary (Rowe) Morley. Derek was a kind, generous, fun loving man who loved his family, especially his grandchildren, Kyle and Kolbi. He loved to travel and spend time with his wife, Joan, who passed away in 2004. He loved to fly, play golf and go fishing. After leaving England and moving to Canada, Derek joined the Navy where he found his love for travel. He later became a sales representative for several companies including Harts’ Mountain Pet Supplies, Ronson Canada, MTC Pharmaceuticals and Langford Laboratories. Derek is survived by his son, Derek “Rick”; grandson, Kyle; granddaughter, Kolbi; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan (Doran); sisters, Francis and Joan; brother, George. Arrangements were entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A public graveside service took place Monday, January 6 at 2 p.m., in Centre Falmouth Cemetery, Town Rd., Falmouth, Rev. Bill Gibson officiated.
