It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Elizabeth Alexander announce her passing at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the age of 77 years. She will be sadly missed her common-law husband, Cecil Childs; two sons: Terry of Mattis Point, Dion (Debra) of Corner Brook; two daughters: Vonnie (Roger) of Mattis Point, Amanda (Duane) of Stephenville Crossing. Also leaving to mourn one brother, Charlie (Mildred) of Stephenville Crossing; two sisters: Cecilia Blanchard of Mattis Point, Doreen Alexander of Stephenville; sister-in-law, Cora Alexander of Mattis Point and 10 grandchildren: Scott, Tara, Corey, Jordan, Jake, Kayla, Carley, Reilly, Myah, Dustin; four great-grandchildren: Emma, Leah, Trent, Evan and a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Clark Alexander; her sisters: Rita Campbell, Geraldine O’Neil; brothers: Joe Alexander, Ernest Alexander and her grandson, Clark. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Stephenville Crossing on Wednesday, January 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, January 9th at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Parish, Stephenville Crossing.
