Auguste Deveaux, 80, of 27 Chemin Shomphe, Cheticamp, died Jan. 7, 2014, at home.
Born in Cheticamp, he was a son of the late Charles and Annie (Deveaux) Deveaux.
Auguste grew up in Cheticamp, he worked in the fishery industry. He liked to hunt, go for drives in his van and watch his beloved Montreal Canadiens. He also liked his fiddle music. Auguste had good friends in Cheticamp.
He is survived by one sister-in-law, Vera Deveaux, Sydney; several nieces nephews; great-nieces and nephews.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Denise and Jackie Poirier for their endless care with Auguste.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Leo, Marcellin and Timothy; two sisters, Elizabeth MacIntosh and Margaret Mary Deveaux.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, Cheticamp. Interment in the parish cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cheticamp Funeral Services Ltd.
