At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown on Saturday, October 18, 2008, of Robert Winsloe Crane of Cardross, age 82 years. Husband of the late Maude (nee Campbell). Special friend of Ethel Blackett. Loving father of Walena (Clifford) MacLaren, Stratford; Stillman (Rita), Cardross; Judy Crane, Montague; Clinton (Marie) Crane, Peakes Road; Deborah (Leonard) Lutz, Peakes Road; Donna (Gerard) Campbell, Elliotvale; Marilyn (Bruce) Martell, Georgetown; and Robyn Crane (Ken Darby), Cornwall. Dear grandfather of 37 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sisters, Betty MacDonald and Rita Irving, brother-in-law Raymond Campbell, and by sisters-in-law Evelyn VanIderstine and Carrie Hopkins. Predeceased by his sons Arthur, Trevor, and Robert and by his grandson Andy. Also predeceased by his brothers Alfred, John, Herbert and Bruce and by his sisters Emily James, Mary Cunningham, Rosie MacLean and Lottie Coates. Resting at Ferguson’s Montague Funeral Home from where the service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment in the Lorne Valley Cemetery.
