BURGOYNE, ALFRED DANIEL - 1934-2014 - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alfred Daniel Burgoyne at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on January 9th, 2014. Alfred was born in Acton, York Co., and was the son of the late Leo Burgoyne and Roxie (King) Burgoyne of New Market, York Co. Alfred was a graduate of Harvey High School, Teacher's College and the University of New Brunswick. During his years as an educator, he taught in several schools and was principal of St. Dunstan's School for 22 years. Alfred will be greatly missed by his wife of 45 years, Louise (Duffy) and his daughter, Stephanie as well as his sister, Helen Randall (Walter). Other survivors include his nieces, Kelly Dixon (Heath), Jennifer and Mari-Lee Randall and nephews, Michael Hinchey (Steve Gaetz), Mitchell and Graham Randall (Susan). In addition to his parents, Alfred was predeceased by brothers, Ford and Willard Burgoyne and his sister, Glenna Hinchey (Lorne).
Visitation will take place at McAdam's Funeral Home on Sunday, January 12th, 2014 from 2-6 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church on Monday, January 13th, 2014 at 12:05 pm with Fr. Bill Brennan as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Alfred may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. www.mcadamsfh.com
