Peacefully, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Friday, January 10, 2014, of Mr. Paul Joseph O’Rourke of Charlottetown, age 89 years.
Beloved husband of Vange (nee Greenan) and dear father of Paula (Lawrence) LeBlanc and Mark (Kathy) O’Rourke. Loving grandfather of Michael and Monica LeBlanc. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters-in-law, Marjorie O’Rourke, Georgina Allen, Madeline MacEwen, Mildred Connelly; special niece, Valerie Legault; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed by his canine friends, Rookie and Mimi.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Sarah (Lindsay) O’Rourke; brother, Daniel; twin brother, Bill; and sisters, Patricia and Bernice.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Tuesday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will take place later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
If so desired, contributions in memory of Paul may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of P.E.I. or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
