It is with great sadness that the family of the late Peter Colombe announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Friday, January 10th, 2014 at the age of 87 years. He leaves to mourn, his wife Eleanor; four sons: Thomas (Marie) in Nova Scotia, Kevin (Verdella) in Stephenville Crossing, Neil (Fransico), Brian (Margaret), all in Ontario; seven daughters: Kathleen (Percy) in Ontario, Madeline (Bernard) in Stephenville, Donna (Cecil) in Jeffrey’s, Bertha (Joe), Joan (Peter), Agnes (Mark), all in Ontario, Ruth in St. George’s; his stepchildren: Michelle (Glen), Brenda, Robert. Also leaving to mourn are a large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his first wife Anita in 1984, his parents: Florence Blanchard and Peter Colombe, his brothers: Gilbert, William, Edmund, Leslie, Steve, Leo and his sisters: Adeline, Monica, Angela, Della Rosa, Florence and Alice. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday and Monday, at St. Joseph’s Parish, St. George’s, from where the funeral will take place on Tuesday, January 14th 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Shallop Cove.
