GRATTAN, HELEN - 1925 - 2014 - Helen Grattan, 88 of Sainte-Anne de Kent, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital University Center, Moncton on Sunday, January 12th, 2014. Born in Sainte-Anne de Kent, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and the late Elizabeth (Burns) Grattan. She worked as a telephone operator for numerous years. She was an active volunteer in her community. She will be sadly missed by her two sisters; Eileen Grattan and Pauline Grattan both of Sainte-Anne de Kent and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters; Mona, Elizabeth, Agnes and Mary and two brothers, Joseph and Jack.
Visitations will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Anne de Kent, on Wednesday, January 15th, 2014 from 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Church on Thursday, January 16th, at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery. In Helen’s memory donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation or to the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital «Palliative care unit».
