Passed away at the Health Science Centre on Sunday, January 12, 2014, Lawrence Carl O'Reilly, formerly from Placentia, now living in St.John's. Predeceased by parents Lawrence and Hannah O'Reilly, brother Raymond, sister Madonna and father-in-law Joseph Traverse. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are wife Theresa; sons Raymond (Anne), Robbie (Valerie) and Dion (Elizabeth); four precious grandchildren Andrew, Connor, Abigael and Leigha; brothers Paton (Beulah), Ron, Brendan (Judy) and Gerard (Kathleen); sisters Edwina (Dale), Maureen (John), Marilyn (Dave), Anne (Ray), Cathy (Ralph) and Sheila (Angus); mother-in-law Mary Traverse; brother-in-law Emmett (Betty); numerous nieces and nephews, Star of the Sea Buddies and many friends. Carl was an honourary member of the Star of the Sea, Placentia, and also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation to take place Tuesday, January 14 from 11:00am to 5:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm, and Wednesday, January 15 at 10:00am. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to take place Wednesday, January 15 at 2:00pm at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia, with interment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery.
