The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, January 17, 2014, of Kathleen "Kaye" Boates, of Summerside, aged 91 years.
Born in New Glasgow, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Effie (Slater) Wamback.
Survived by her children, Nancy (Jean-Marc) Racette, Summerside; Beverley (Bill) Bishop, Charlottetown; Robert Boates (Lynda Burton), Qualicum Beach, B.C.; Shirley (Brian) Battison, Tsawwassen, B.C.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Garnet Wamback, New Glasgow, N.S.; special cousins, Helen and Ann Slater, Stellarton, N.S.; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Roy Boates; grandson, Troy Drummond; sister, Evelyn, in infancy; and by her brother, Fraser Wamback.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. Interment later in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. Visiting hours Sunday, from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral.
