Elizabeth 'Betty' MacIntyre

It is with sadness, we announce the passing of our mother, Betty MacIntyre.
Betty passed away peacefully at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, on Dec. 27, 2013.
She was the daughter of the late Caroline MacRae.
Betty was born in Big Baddeck and was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her sons, Malcy, Calgary, Daniel (EmmyLou), Englishtown, Bruce (Sharon), Baddeck, Blair (Veronica), Calgary, Murdock (Theresa), Calgary; grandchildren, Blair (Doug), Cole, Brett, Matthew (Katelyn), Malcolm, Neila and their mother Lucy, Big Baddeck, Jannel, Brandon, MaKenna and great-grandchildren Jaxon and William. She is also survived by brothers, Raymond, Massachusetts, Charlie (Irene), Sackville and her good friend, Christine.
Betty was predeceased by husband, Donald; infant son, Ralph and brothers, Murdock and John.
The family would like to thank the staff at Miners Memorial Manor, staff at Cape Breton Regional Hospital and doctors and staff at Victoria County Memorial Hospital.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Donations can be made to charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of MacAskill’s Funeral Home, Baddeck.
