Joseph Edgar Breau

BREAU, JOSEPH EDWARD EDGAR – Edgar Breau of Rothesay, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 18, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Born in Covedell, NB on June 20, 1927, he was the son of the late Joseph Exibée and Olive Breau. He was employed in both Saint John and Tracadie primarily as a service man. Edgar was well known for his creativity, inventiveness and keen mind. He was able to repair almost any item he encountered, even those that had stumped many before him. He was also renowned for his great love for others and love for Christ his Savior. He was active throughout his life in church activities including playing the mandolin in various worship groups and as a founding member of the Pokemouche Pentecostal Church. He is survived by his wife Shirley (O’Neill), children Rowena (John), Kenny (Rose), Judy (Bill), Gene (Dianne), and Mark (Angela) as well as 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Edgar was predeceased by his wife Rita (McGraw), brother Isidore, sisters Lilianne Thibodeau and Annie Doiron and granddaughter Jillian Nutter.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 1 p.m. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
