SAVOY, EDWARD - Mr. Edward George Savoy husband of Rose Marie (Robichaud) Savoy of Godin Street, Neguac NB passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 71. Born in Lower Neguac he was the son of the late George William and Catherine (LeBlanc) Savoy. He was retired from NB Tel and was a member of the United Church. He also was a member of NB Tel Pioneers. Besides his wife Rose Marie he is survived by one daughter Gloria Girvan (Bryce) of Bathurst, two sons Rodney of Notre Dame NB and Scott (Michelle) of St. Catharines ON, one sister Ann Savoy of Montreal, five grandchildren Irene Savoy, Samuel Girvan, Jessica Girvan, Katelyn Savoy and Evan Savoy, also nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
Mr. Edward George Savoy is resting at St. Andrew’s United Church, Tabusintac, with visitation on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at St. Andrew’s United Church with Reverend Fred Douwsma officiating. In memory of Edward donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
