Sterling Nelson Mugridge, 65, of Fort Ellis, Colchester County, N.S., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at home. Born on Sept. 20, 1948, in Alberton, he was the son of the late Nelson and Matilda (MacIsaac) Mugridge. Surviving are his wife Linda (Rhoddy) Mugridge; sons Steven (Rosie), Summerside; Craig (Melanie), Summerside; grandchildren Evan, Cole, Dylan, Alyssa, all of Summerside; brother Edward (Rena), Ellerslie; sister Liane (Kenny) Dixon, Summerside; stepsons James (Maureen) Lorencovitch, Dartmouth, N.S.; Robert Lorencovitch, Dartmouth, N.S.; step-grandchildren Johnathan, Alik, Mikayla, Allena, Sadie, all of Dartmouth, N.S.; extended family members Crystal, Jayme, Meranda, Jillian, Jaxson, all of Summerside; Danae, A’Mya, Ja’Mai, Amari’Ah, Lynn, Tricia, Chasta, all of Dartmouth, N.S.. Predeceased by brothers Warren and Alfred; sister Velma Mugridge. No visitation by request. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, 194 King Street, Windsor, N.S. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor, N.S. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
