With great love and sadness, Bruce’s family annouces his sudden passing on Thursday, January 23, 2014. Bruce Wayne Van Buskirk, age 66, devoted partner of Marie Thorne.
Born in Valleyfield, Montague, October 2, 1947, he is the son of the late Harry and Margaret Van Buskirk. Survived by brother and sister, Norma Jean Munro (Roy), Lawrence Van Buskirk (Eileen); cherished uncle and great-uncle of Greg Van Buskirk (Debi), Jeremy, Mark Van Buskirk (Leslie), Brooke and Paige, Sandra Marler (Rod), Tess. Stepfather of Ronnie Thorne, Debi Cudmore (Richard) and Audra Bulger (Richie). Loving grampie Boo to Mitch Thorne (Crystal), Gemma Fraser (Tyler), Ashley McGuigan (Jason), Steffan Cudmore (Megan), Kelby Cudmore, Chance Bulger, Dustin Thorne, Jaden Bulger and Lacey Thorne. Great grampie Boo to Brittany, Taylor and Abigal Thorne, Seth and Caden Fraser and Keeva McGuigan. Bruce was predeceased by a brother, Johnny Van Buskirk (Mary).
Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting hours on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral will take place on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at 1 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Interment to take place in the Valleyfield Cemetery in the spring.
